Grant Swensen has worked with Collision Safety Engineering since 2021. He was recently hired as a Support Technician in 2023 and is developing skills with accident reconstruction and analysis. Grant is currently studying Manufacturing Engineering at Brigham Young University with plans to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in 2024. He is currently involved in the Formula SAE Electric team and participates in SAE and SME activities on campus.
Grant has considerable knowledge in several disciplines, including motorsports, manufacturing, and dynamic testing. He has experience in digital modelling and rapid prototyping, as well as more recent experience in both manual and CNC machining. As a hobbyist, Grant has notable skill in radio control, with time spent operating and maintaining scale aircraft and trucks, drones, and full-size vehicles. He is also fluent in French and Spanish.
As a Support Technician, Grant’s work for CSE involves vehicle test preparation, data analysis, remote test vehicle operation, 3D scanning, CAD modelling, and testing support for research and accident reconstruction projects.
