Nathan Benson has over 30 years of experience in automotive accident reconstruction, testing, and research. He has unique expertise in electronics, data acquisition and analysis, 2d and 3d documentation and metrology including high-definition laser scanning tools, and high-speed photography. He has designed and produced physical and virtual models, visual representations, and mathematical simulations of complex crash scenes and vehicle component analyses.
Nathan has served as the principal test director on over 100 full scale and component level automotive crash tests. Nathan has developed techniques and devices for instrumenting various types of test data acquisition and data reduction.
Nathan is certified in forensic video analysis and in digital multimedia evidence processing through Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association International, Inc. (LEVA).
Nathan is a licensed commercial UAV pilot and routinely conducts aerial photography and 3D mapping of vehicles, accident scenes and test sites. Nathan is trained in numerous specialized automotive reconstruction, visualization, and analysis sofftware.
